CEC Systems were one of more than 30 startups brought to Singapore in 2017 by the Landing Pad programme.

Landing Pad is a programme by Austrade that provides help to businesses that are ready to take their ideas to Asia.

The programme aids startups and scale ups in entering global innovation hubs, such as Singapore.

CEC Systems entered Singapore via Landing pad in July 2017. The Sydney based industrial technology developer works in the shipping and logistics sector.

CEC Systems CEO, Nicholas Press, said: “Singapore has always been known as a global shipping hub and for CEC Systems it is crucial that we position ourselves where the key decision makers are.”

Landing Pad provides startups such as CEC Systems with a 90-day residency in a co-working space at WeWork, alongside business advice and introductions to contacts.

CEC Systems has been working with A*Star’s Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology to enhance its core product COLLAPSECON C-400.

The company specialises in creating collapsible shipping containers and say that the programme has helped to reduce the risk and uncertainty of moving into a new market such as Singapore.
