Global Health Awarded Record Contract with Western Australia Mental Health Commission for Implementation of MasterCare EMR

Australian Healthcare Software provider Global Health Limited (ASX: GLH) (“Global Health” or “Company”) has been awarded a 10-year (5+3+2) contract with the Government of Western Australia’s Mental Health Commission (WA MHC) for SaaS implementation of MasterCare EMR.
Key Highlights:
- Initial $850,000 in revenue for implementation, services and first year licencing over the 2021/2022 financial year
- Annual recurring licencing, support and hosting fees of ~$330,000 p.a.
- SaaS Implementation of MasterCare EMR (Electronic Medical Record), ReferralNet Secure Messaging Delivery and Dashboards-as-a-Service
- Option to transition to Global Health’s next generation EMR, MasterCare+ during the contract period
Global Health is excited to report on their continued strong performance throughout the COVID-19 pandemic with the successful bid for the WA Mental Health Commission’s AOD services contract. As WA’s largest provider of Alcohol and Other Drug rehabilitation services, The WA MHC manages clients in community and bed-based settings across Western Australia.
Global Health’s MasterCare platform will enable the WA Mental Health Commission to meet the key State and Federal reporting requirements for Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment Services. With the solution becoming the Commissions core EMR solution for managing the treatment of clients and enabling users to connect to critical eHealth infrastructure such as the MyHealthRecord, Secure Messaging Delivery (SMD) and ePrescribing.
MasterCare EMR’s continues to be favoured
MasterCare has emerged as the market leading EMR for Australian Community Health organisations in recent years, with the WA MHC join being the latest of several key accounts to select MasterCare EMR in 2020.
The Project will see the delivery of a module in MasterCare that will collect and report the WA MHC’s data set for drug and services, which extends an already comprehensive list of programs now natively supported in the application. This list includes major programs such as the PMHC, AOD NMDS, CH, VINAH, HACC and NDIS.

The Future of the MasterCare Platform
The length of the contract also demonstrates faith in the company’s roadmap and vision to transition from the current MasterCare EMR user-base to the company’s next generation SaaS solution, MasterCare+, in the years to come.
The WA Mental Health Commission will be kept up-to date on the progress of the development of MasterCare+ and will have the option to transition to the new platform at their digression throughout the duration of the contract period.
