Artificial intelligence company OpenDNA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Silicon Valley-based Gaia Interactive, allowing Gaia to engage its users in a more personalised level.
OpenDNA allows businesses to get detailed behavioural and psychographic maps of its users through Natural Language Processing, Neural Networks and Machine Learning. Gaia Interactive, Inc., on the other hand, is a virtual worlds space published with millions of active users. It is the creator of Mix10 which is an innovative shopping site.
“Gaia is a noted leader in the “virtual worlds” and online social communities space, which we see as a key emerging area in OpenDNA’s future strategic direction. Because these communities are built upon user-generated content, we feel that our personalisation technology is a perfect fit for this growing sector,” OpenDNA Managing Director and CEO Mr Jay Shah said.
Shah said OpenDNA’s technology will personalise the content for each user thereby enhancing each user’s virtual world experience. This makes sense considering that Gaia values its community.
Under the MOU, OpenDNA will integrate its Artificial Intelligence System (AIS) into the digital platform of Gaia. This will allow Gaia to offer content that is based on the users’ specific interests.
The success of the 90-day trial will pave the way for an ongoing customer agreement between OpenDNA and Gaia. The agreement will allow Gaia to use the AIS, In return, OpenDNA will have a percentage of the revenues derived by Gaia. The specific terms of the agreement are however confidential.
“Our sole focus at Gaia is to give our loyal community the best experience possible. We are committed to constantly improving our site and our apps so that our users can enjoy the content that makes our community so special. We are delighted to partner with OpenDNA to allow our users to personalise their experience,” Gaia CEO James Cao said.
