PRESS RELEASE
2nd September 2013
Following its recent success at the national iAwards, lighting controls company Organic Response has been nominated as a finalist in the Australian Cleantech Competition.
The finalists will compete for the title in a live “dragon’s den” style judging showcase in Sydney on 2nd October, with the ability to connect with leading cleantech investors from Australia, China and Korea. The Winner will represent Australia in the Global Clean Technology Ideas competition in November. The Cleantech Competition was first run in 2011, with a view to identifying new technologies that could help meet the challenges of sustainability.
Organic Response is a revolutionary sensor-based lighting control system using Distributed Intelligence to deliver maximum energy savings with optimal occupancy comfort. Uniquely, the technology requires no additional design, hardware, wiring or commissioning to install, thereby dramatically reducing the cost and complexity that, until now, has accompanied high performance lighting control solutions.
CEO and co-founder Chris Duffield says “The simplicity and affordability of Organic Response opens up the whole commercial lighting market to sophisticated lighting control. Our system works as well in a developing country as it does in a metropolitan skyscraper, so our aim is to turn on a light in every country in the world in the next five years.”
