Organic Response wins national Start-up iAward

Melbourne, Australia – Friday 9^th August 2013

Last night, Melbourne lighting control technology start-up, Organic Response, took out a number of awards at the Australian ICT industry’s premier technology awards programme, the iAwards.

Over 19 years, the iAwards has become the premier technology awards platform in Australia delivering the most comprehensive awards program in the technology industry today. Since 2011 the iAwards have been open to both the companies at the cutting edge of technology innovation as well as leading professionals across the industry.

Organic Response, co-Founded in Melbourne by Chris Duffield and Danny Bishop less than two years ago, walked away with:

• 2013 Winner of the Inspiration Award, an award granted by the judges to the best entry amongst all category winners
• 2013 Winner of the Start Up Category Award, and
• 2013 Merit Recipient of the New Product Category Award

The Company was a recent winner of the New Product Category iAward for the state of Victoria.  The awards give significant recognition to the innovation, effectiveness and global potential of Organic Response’s patented design architecture, which is based entirely on Distributed Intelligence.  Given that the technology is integrated into light fittings prior to delivery to the end customer, no additional design, hardware, wiring or commissioning is required to install, thereby dramatically reducing the cost and complexity that, until now, has accompanied high performance commercial lighting control solutions.

Having been recognised as the most promising ICT start up in Australia, Organic Response will go on to represent Australia in the Asia Pacific ICT Awards – APICTA – to be held in Hong Kong in November 2013.
