Pelikin is pleased to announce the launch of its 3-tiered Pelikin Travel Insurance available now for all Pelikin account holders.
Since announcing our strategic partnership with Sydney based insuretech Travel By Us on September 18 2019, we have been working tirelessly to build a seamless, affordable and relevant travel insurance product in-line with the high standard expected from our existing customer base.
Sam Brown “For us to turn this entire project around in 2 months is a true testament to our agility and our capacity to build, deploy and learn at pace to ensure Pelikin is always as good as it can be for our loyal customers (aka Squad Members).”
The inspiration for Pelikin Travel insurance was born following hundreds of conversations with young Australian travellers who have developed a distrust of current providers based on the vagueness of their policy descriptions and the structure of their products which result in young travellers paying for things that they don’t need.
Pelikin has created a 3-tiered product that can be customised to fit every budget and to fit exactly what people do while they travel. In the coming weeks, the product will grow to include a revolutionary “build your own” feature allowing Pelikin card holders to add specific items and activities to their base cover so that they are only ever paying for what they may use.
From today, Pelikin will begin to generate additional revenue from all policies purchased by Pelikin card holders and today’s launch symbolises an exciting achievement and progress for the young team’s goal to create a central hub for all things finance and travel for young travelling Australians.
