Series 1 units of the Warburton Global Fund returned -1.5% in December 2018. The value of $1 invested since inception is $1.51.
Heightened volatility in financial markets continued in December. Globally, equity indices were down -8% in aggregate. Government bond prices rose modestly across most major developed markets. The US yield curve continued to flatten, as US Treasury bonds gained in value at both shorter and longer maturities.
Commodity prices were mixed. Precious metal prices rose, industrial metal prices fell and the oil price continued to plummet. The AUD fell versus the USD.
