Solar Analytics has had an incredibly successful FY17, with now 14,000 sales of our solar and energy monitoring solution. This year we joined the Powerhouse solar incubator in Oakland, CA; the base for our US operations, where we have exhibited at two major international solar trade exhibitions.
Our international expansion also includes a partnership with major New Zealand utility Mercury who are rolling out our white label dashboard across the country. Importantly, we are a major partner with Solar Head of State, an international non-profit providing solar systems for government leaders in disadvantaged nations; our solar monitoring solution was installed in the Governor’s residence in Saint Lucia in the Caribbean with more countries targetted this year. We built upon our Series A funding with a successful ARENA grant of $2.1M and are currently seeking Series B funding.
Our data scientists and product development team continue to iterate on our world-class solar monitoring software platform for residential and commericial solar owners, including the release of an iOS App, and customer energy notifications to continue to drive down electricity costs.
Customer engagement is at an all-time high and we are proud to have a current NPS of +41; significantly higher than the average Australian software-as-a-service business score (-18). Solar Analytics’ Australian brand presence continues to grow with exhibition stands at three industry expos, major speaking opportunities at 20 events and more than 65 articles in online and print publications and television exposure this financial year.
We were also privileged to be recognised as a finalist in the Australia-wide 2016 StartCon Best Start-up competition, runner up for Start-up of the Year at Australian Utility Week, and won the Best IoT and Innovation award at the Smart Cities Forum.
This coming year we focus on delving further into leading the Smart Home Energy space in Australia, providing clear savings for solar owners through maximising their solar system, optimising their load, enabling profitable energy exchange, and accurately designing storage and solar for their needs.
We look forward to continuing to empower people to navigate the changing energy landscape.
