Welcome to our first edition of our Quarterly Update for Wholesale Investor for Q4 of FY17.

There was a great meme I saw last week which said “I can’t believe it is June, just last week it was January”. That about sums up how I feel.

We operate in a dynamic environment and it is fascinating to see the swings in momentum changing faster and faster. Key observations so far this year have been…

• The rise of Israeli companies Listing in Australia
• Continued challenges for Listed Micro Caps to gain the attention of Investors
• Surging rise of interest from Southeast Asia and China for Australian companies
• Resource exploration companies rise in their ability to attract capital and significant increase in exploration
• Cryptocurrencies have everyone talking and trying to understand them, as their prices surge
• Medical marijuana companies have benefited strongly from the increased interest and Government legalisation for specific medicinal use

On the Wholesale Investor side, we have started this year determined to create as much visibility and opportunity as possible for our clients and for our ecosystem. It’s at this point, I want to say thank you to you… our subscribers.

This last few years have been transitional for us, as we have gone from communicating once every 2 weeks, to communicating 2 to 3 times a week across a range of areas. We have gone from hosting 12 to 15 events a year, to over 30+ this year. We do this with the several intentions in mind…

Highlights so far in 2017

So far this year, we have already hosted 18 investor events across 3 countries and 3 states. Please see below the highlights from our activities;

1. Launched our new website
2. Hosted our first event in Chinese in conjunction with BMY Group and hosted by their Founder Eric Gao
3. Hosted 2 Investor events on the Sunshine Coast
4. Hosted 2 Investor events in Brisbane
5. Hosted our first ever Small Cap Showcase
6. Conducted the first livestreaming that we know of for a Showcase event
7. Hosted an investor Showcase and WI Private with the Israeli Trade Commission in Singapore
8. Promoted the ACT Government’s delegation to Singapore
9. Co-Hosted the ASX IPO Workshop in conjunction with the ASX in Singapore

Stand out achievements from our clients include

1. Canndeo being acquired by The Hydroponics Company (THC). THC subsequently had their IPO Capital raise of $4million oversubscribed. Day 1 of the listing the company’s share price surged 100%. A great result for the Founder.
2. Long Pipes – Having successfully raised nearly $10mill over the last few years, the company has recently achieved several technical milestones in their first trial contracts.
3. LifeArt – Following their presentation at our London event late last year, the company entered a joint venture with a significant player in the funeral space. The joint venture is currently establishing a manufacturing facility to take on the UK market.

We will provide a full update from our clients shortly, to reflect on their traction across the first 6 months of this year.

Over the next few months we will be releasing several new features on our website, along with new products for our clients and subscribers. This is an exciting time for the company and we look forward to sharing this journey with you.
